Police: Overturned box truck shuts down part of Route 9 in Cromwell

CROMWELL — An overturned box truck has shut down part of Route 9, according to state police.
Troopers, as well as emergency medical personnel and the local fire department, were called to the scene of the crash at Route 9 north near Exit 27 just before 11 a.m., Connecticut State Police said in an email.
An ambulance took at least one patient to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries was not immediately known, according to state police.
Police have shut down the right northbound lane and the left southbound lane in the area while investigating the crash.
